The  SILA research group

The  SILA research group

The Structural Integrity and Life Assessment research group (SILA) was established by Dr Haofeng Chen in early 2008 at the University of Strathclyde. The research activities are based on the high quality and industrious work done by present and past PhD students and researchers. The key capabilities developed in several years are enhanced by the great spirit of collaboration to tackle several challenges regarding the structural integrity of high-temperature structures.

The PhD community is very active and welcoming, encouraging the new students in developing their skills. As part of an international-looking research group, recently several international students and academics are visiting SILA. These exchange programs are usually funded by UK's and international research bodies.
